APHACA at Parken Stadium Copenhagen 2026
APHACA delivered a cinematic, raw experience for 50,000 people at Parken Stadium, Denmark,
with a bold minimalist visual language creating an intense, immediate atmosphere. The show opened on a small center stage, where four 14 × 6-meter LED screens were mounted as a cube to create an intimate cinematic space.
With only a single key light on stage, the circular camera movement constantly revealed a shadowed side of the band, reinforcing the raw, honest aesthetic.
Visual designer Johnny Thinggaard built a strong minimalist identity rooted in silhouette and high-contrast lighting. Trusses and infrastructure were left visible and became part of the design language.
Six large pantographs carrying 91 Portman EVO1 lamps moved in real time above the main stage, shaping distinct spatial rooms for each song. The rig also included 156 Colorado Pixel Curve 12, 48 Martin Mac Ultra, Martin PXL as low side light, and 70 GLP Burst fixtures used to illuminate custom podium fronts.
A 52 × 18-meter LED screen at the rear was driven entirely by live camera feeds from Casper Warnich.
Johnny applied precise real-time colour grading with no further manipulation:
“We either work in natural colour or start from black and white and paint selectively with RGB values. It keeps everything honest and immediate.” Johnny joined the project through United Stage Denmark and worked closely with the band to refine their vision. Production managers Lasse Hjort and Tobias Sødring oversaw the show, with full project management delivered by 4K Projects ApS. The show was pre-programmed by Sune Verdier & Johnny Thinggaard himself.
The result was a large-scale yet intimate stadium show at Parken Stadium, where the opening cube stage, live imagery, moving Portman pantographs and
the minimalist lighting approach created a direct connection between band and audience.
